Hey there,
Meet Bradley Wargo — a Catholic, chronic project-starter, and accountant who writes about faith, Asia, and AI from his little corner of the internet.
My name is Bradley Wargo (think Brad Pitt or Bradley Cooper asking "how'd the war go?"), and I'm a curious Catholic native to the internet era who loves to read and tinker.
I started this blog back in high school around the time of Frozen's release, and much like any chronic project-starter, I've bounced between here, podcasts, videos, personal writings, AI projects, music, and more. This is the latest iteration.
Since high school, I lived in Japan, traveled many states, worked at Starbucks, read a lot, watched a lot, and enjoyed life. I'm currently an accountant who spends free time with God, AI, reading, and learning Japanese. I'm trying to share and travel more though — life is not a solo journey.
So here I am plowing this little field of digital storage. Thanks for being a mission partner so far.
What You'll Find Here
This site lives at the intersection of three things I can't stop thinking about:
Faith — I'm a Catholic, and not the twice-a-year kind. My faith shapes how I see everything else. You'll find reflections on Catholic teaching, commentary on things I'm reading from Church writers and saints, and honest wrestling with how ancient wisdom applies to modern life. I serve as an OCIA teacher, Encounter youth leader, and general oddball-jobs volunteer at my parish.
Wonder — Japan is my second heart. I lived there while completing my MBA at GLOBIS University, I speak the language (still chasing that N1), and I'm endlessly fascinated by its beautiful contradictions. More broadly, I'm drawn to Asia and to the places where Eastern and Western perspectives collide and create something neither could produce alone. As Chesterton would appreciate, it's at these intersections of paradox where the most profound truths tend to emerge.
What's Next — I spend a lot of time with AI tools, thinking about technology, and wondering how all of this changes the way we live, work, and pray. Not as a futurist or a tech bro, but as someone who wants to make sure we carry the right things forward as the world shifts under our feet.
The Boring Résumé Stuff
Texas A&M undergrad. MBA from GLOBIS University in Tokyo. Financial analyst/accountant at Phillips 66, where I handle accounting work across our plant operations. Houston-based. Perpetually studying Japanese.
