Day 21 Prompt

For The Spoopy Season Challenge: "Describe your favorite food without using the name. :)"

Initial Thoughts

Well there are a lot of great foods out there many of which are staples in any household (as long as it's not actually staples). That said, if I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, I know which I'd pick (and you should to).

Favorite Food

This food is a versatile one with many fillings and toppings that can suit any occasion. Sometimes, you need to get a little creative in order to use it in such a variation, but it's always worth the effort.

The most common use is perhaps it's natural form. A soft fluffy base, usually folded - with a ridged structure as an alternative (though not as versatile), is what starts it all.

Most people put beans as the base, but it's better to use cheese as the heat from the other ingredients cause it to melt and act like a glue (especially with the hard base). From there, I'd top it with beans.

So far, this could be eaten in the morning if you add eggs or fried and crispy bacon.

But to add that afternoon flair, I recommend ground beef, flavored with spicy seasonings, cooked with onions, and drained to perfection.

With the base, cheese, beans, and meat of your choice we're ready for the toppings that really refresh it and bring it home.

Lettuce and Tomatoes.

I'm not normally a fan of tomatoes, but they and the lettuce, add a refreshing bite that no matter how many you take, it's like a new burst of flavor. Better yet, that's all you need, unless you like it spicy, then you just gotta add your favorite salsa.

Final Notes

I mentioned that this food could be used in a variety of ways, and if you're clever you can make a chocolate version. It uses a chocolate based dough for the based folded in half, topped with crumble cookie whipped cream, and eaten for dessert.

Could you guess what it was? What's your favorite food? What about your worst? Let me know! And as always,

Thanks for Reading!
